Maintenance Control

The Maintenance Control application belongs to a group of applications generally referred to as CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) or EAMS (Enterprise Asset Management Systems). It is used for the complete management and maintenance of the company's tangible assets and its life cycle management.

Maintenance Control

The application has a modular structure and customers can choose additional optional modules in addition to the basic set of modules. Customers are most interested in the following modules:

  • Object structure module it contains machine and maintenance facility cards and provides an overview of all the company's tangible assets and their locations.
  • Notifications module allows you to submit reports and requests to the maintenance department and track their handling, including response times. Sometimes it is also used as a help desk for the IT department.
  • The Work Orders module allows you to assign and record work to internal and external maintenance workers and record breakdowns and how they were resolved, working hours and names of maintenance workers and companies involved, as well as material and spare parts used.
  • The Planned Maintenance module allows you to create and track preventive maintenance plans from which work orders are automatically generated.
  • The Alarms module enables online monitoring of machines, their cycles and technical parameters, and automatically generates work orders.
  • Tool Management's module allows logging, movement tracking, usage and maintenance management of tools.
  • The Documentation Management module enables the administration and management of complete documentation for machines, tools, spare parts, etc.
  • The Purchasing and Warehousemodule allows you to manage warehouses, monitor minimum stocks and order spare parts.
  • The People Planning module enables detailed scheduling and visualization of shift plans and maintenance worker workloads.
  • The Revision module enables the registration, management and monitoring of revisions of reserved technical devices.
  • The Workflow module enables detailed configuration of workflows, data entry and approval processes.
Great interest in mobile maintenance meets the extension with a modern application for smartphones and tablets Mobile Maintenance for Android and Apple iOS devices. This system can be further expanded with an application for smart watches.
An application predictive maintenance and Condition Monitoring > PlantMonitor, which can work both independently for customers who do not need the entire system for maintenance management, and as an add-on to the above Alarms module in Maintenance Control.

From the field of cutting-edge technologies, we offer smart glasses with augmented reality for remote maintenance and service support.

The applications work on top of one MS SQL database and can communicate with other customer information systems, for example ERP enterprise information systems such as SAP, Axapta, Navision, Oracle, JD Edwards, QAD, Helios, within the scope of data integration Carat, Dimension, QI, etc.

Key strengths of Act-in applications include online connectivity and communication with machines and flawless automated processing of technical, technological and process data. For this purpose, we have developed a very robust hardware and software solution called IMTS box (Independent Mobile Tracking System), which will allow us to connect and process data from any machine regardless of its manufacturer, age and technical equipment.

The system ensures online collection of data from the production process with digital identification of individual elements of the system, from the point of view of maintenance especially of machines, tools, spare parts and mobile phones and tablets and their mutual online communication. It is possible to use bar codes, QR codes, RFID, NFC or active IoT elements to identify system elements and their mutual communication. Communication can be provided via many different protocols and converters such as OPC and the latest OPC UA or MTConnect, or for older machines via the RS232/422/485 interface, a bus from the family Fieldbus etc. It is possible to use, for example, ODBC for communication with third-party databases. In addition to the above standard communication tools, Act-in develops its own specialized communication tools for direct communication with CNC machine tools with control systems Heidenhain, Sinumerik, Fanuc and Mazatrol.

The above maintenance management applications can work independently or can be connected with other MES applications of the Act-in system such as the production planning system Production Scheduler, system ANDON, production terminals Field Client, a system for monitoring the efficiency of OEE machines and operators Performance Analyser, traceability system Traceability or by the system of quality control and process suitability SPC Statistical Quality Control.
