Performance Analyzer - OEE measurement

OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) is a key indicator of equipment effectiveness in industry. This is a metric that helps measure and analyze how efficiently production equipment is being used within a certain production process. OEE combines three basic factors that affect the effectiveness of equipment, which are availability, performance and quality.

OEE Machine efficiency management

The Performance Analyzer - OEE measurement application is intended for online monitoring of the utilization and condition of machines, their effective use according to the OEE indicator, monitoring the progress of orders and the work of operators.

Automatic data collection directly from machines, lines and workstations is key for online recording of downtime starts and ends, their causes, production cycles, production rates, number of conforming and non-conforming pieces, including the causes of these non-conformances. The connection can be implemented in many ways, from direct communication with machine control computers, via PLC to sensing signals on the terminals in electrical switchboards of machines, or by adding new sensors.

Optional touch production terminals located near the workstations can be used to log operators into the workplace and place orders. Terminals can be equipped with employee card and barcode readers to retrieve work orders and individual operations. Work orders can also be selected from an online list on the terminal.

The application Field Client on the production terminals also displays information to the operators about the fulfillment of their plan, the fulfillment of performance standards and quality. On the terminals, it is possible to further remove matched and non-matched pieces, display workflows, enter maintenance requests and reports, display instructions for preventive maintenance and at the same time write off its execution, display instructions for quality control and write off inspection results, or record the exchange of tools and molds.

The data is then transferred to other applications Production Scheduler, Maintenance Control, Statistical Quality Control and Plant View.

Performance Analyzer then provides a range of analyzes and outputs in the form of Pareto charts, tables and print reports.
